When Melissa was young she took trips to Puerto Rico, reconnect to her maternal side of the family. These visits opened her up to see colonization, connect to my ancestors and culture that was lost, heal ancestry trauma.

While traveling to Guatemala, she did a bike tour learning the history, current state and possiable future of the country through food, music, art, coffee, and connection to the people. It was amazing experience that inspired her.

Melissa hopes to permanently live in Puerto Rico and create a space for education, connection and holistic healing.
